Delhi High Court today issued notice to ex-IAF chief S P Tyagi on CBI plea against bail given to him in VVIP chopper scam case. Former IAF chief S P Tyagi was granted bail on Monday in the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper scam case by a special court in Delhi.
The Judge granted him relief on a personal bond of two lakh rupees and one surety of like amount. The court, however, imposed certain conditions on the accused and asked him not to try to influence the witnesses and hamper the probe.
The bail applications of other two accused – Tyagi’s cousin Sanjeev Tyagi and lawyer Gautam Khaitan – are pending before the court which said it will decide both the pleas on January 4.
71-year old Tyagi, who had retired in 2007, Sanjeev and Khaitan were arrested on 9th of this month by the CBI in connection with the case. The court had on 17th December sent all the three accused to the judicial custody till 30th December.
