Inaugurats Indian Students’ Parliament

Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu today urged the younger generation to join politics in a big way, saying politics is a vehicle for serving the people and bringing about the desired socio-economic change.
Inaugurating the four-day Indian Students’ Parliament here, Mr Naidu said politics was a vehicle to take the country to new levels of development and strengthening the foundations of democracy.
Mr Naidu expressed happiness that thousands of youngsters are taking active interest in politics and various issues concerning the nation. Vice President said that there is a need for a national movement to eradicate poverty and illiteracy and wipe out various social evils, which are hampering the progress of the nation.
He said, the youth of the country should be at the forefront of eliminating the scourge of corruption and other ills plaguing the society.
