Many historical monuments across the state including world famous Taj Mahal in Agra, Uttar Pradesh were opened for the general public today after a gap of more than 6 months. Strict guidelines are being followed for tourists to contain the spread of Corona infection.

After being shut for tourists for around six months, Many monuments like famous small and Big Imambara of Lucknow, Saranath museum of Varanasi  opened today for the general public. one of the seven wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal and Agra Qila  also reopened from today.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) officials have made all necessary arrangements for the reopening. Adhering to COVID guidelines not more than five thousand visitors will be allowed in a day.

Also, group photographs are not at all encouraged. Ticket windows are closed and only online booking of tickets is available. Only 5 persons at a time are allowed in the mausoleum area at a time. Only digital  mode of payment will be allowed at parking and other places.  After thermal scanning tourists will be allowed to enter the Tajmahal.
