The United States on Wednesday announced an additional USD 25 million support for India in the country’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
Visiting Secretary of State Antony Blinken tweeted on Wednesday evening that the funding would support India’s Covid-19 vaccination programme.
“Today, I’m proud to announce an additional $25 million from the U.S. government, through USAID, to support India’s COVID-19 vaccination program. The United States’ support will help save lives by strengthening vaccine supply chains across India,” tweeted the US Secretary of State.
The announcement came shortly after Blinken’s meeting with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, during which they discussed a variety of topics including the global pandemic.
