SC asks state to file status report by tomorrow

Uttar Pradesh Government today formed one member commission for the investigation of Lakhimpur violence in which 8 people died on Sunday. Retired Justice of Allahabad High court Pradeep Kumar Srivastava will investigate the Lakhimpur violence. The commission will submit its report in 2 months. Lakhimpur police yesterday made an appeal to the people to come forward and share the information if they have any, in relation to the violence.
Meanwhile, leaders of many political parties are reaching Lakhimpur to meet the families of the deceased farmers. Aam Aadmi party leader Sanjay Singh, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra met the family members of the farmers yesterday while Samajwadi party chief Akhilesh Yadav is also scheduled to visit Lakhimpur today.
