Soon after removing Shivpal Yadav favourite from the post of Chief Secretary Deepak Singhal, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today stripped his uncle from several important portfolio of his ministry.
Akhilesh took away important ministry of power, irrigation and revenue from Shivpal Yadav. With this the differences between two corridor of power has reached at its peak.
Earlier today Party Supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav appointed Shivpal as party chief of Uttar Pradesh unit removing son Akhilesh from the post.
Earlier difference emerged between the Chief Minister and Cabinet Minister Shivpal Yadav over proposed merger of Qaumi Ekta Dal’s merger with SP.
Principal Secretary (Finance) Rahul Bhatnagar has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary. Party insiders said Akhilesh was not very happy with Singhal, considered close to senior cabinet minister Shivpal Yadav.
This is one of several instance of differences emerging between the Chief Minister and Cabinet Minister Shivpal Yadav including the proposed merger of Qaumi Ekta Dal’s merger with SP.
Singhal, a 1982 batch IAS officer was appointed as chief secretary of Uttar Pradesh in July this year replacing Alok Ranjan.
Mulayam replaces Akhilesh with Shivpal Yadav as UP Samajwadi chief
Lucknow: Samjwadi party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today replaced his son and Chief Minister Akhilesh as the head of state unit with his brother and senior minister Shivpal Singh Yadav.
With this the rift within the ruling Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh widened
“SP President Mulayam Singh Yadav has appointed you as the president of the Uttar Pradesh unit. It is hoped that with your hard work, you will further strengthen the party,” SP National General Secretary Ram Gopal Yadav said in a letter addressed to Shivpal Singh Yadav.
