Prime Minister of United Kingdom Boris Johnson is all set to call on the Group of Seven (G7) leaders today to step up their support for the Afghan people at the group’s emergency meeting on Afghanistan. Johnson is reconvening the leaders for crisis talks on Afghanistan amid widespread unhappiness about Biden’s handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal. Complaints have come from Britain, France, Germany and others in the G-7, which includes only one non-NATO member, Japan.

Earlier, Johnson had taken to Twitter and said that he will convene G7 leaders on today for urgent talks on the situation in Afghanistan. It is vital that the international community works together to ensure safe evacuations, prevent a humanitarian crisis and support the Afghan people to secure the gains of the last 20 years, he had said.
