Two gangsters were killed in a police encounter in Telangana today. A constable was also killed and two Circle Inspectors injured seriously in the incident. The incident took place this morning at Janakipuram in Nalgonda district.
According to local police, the two miscreants were killed on the spot and two country-made weapons were recovered from the scene. The miscreants are suspected to be the attackers on a police-party two days ago at Suryaraopet bus station killing two personnel and injuring two more.
On receiving a compliant, the local police traced the two youths who were fleeing after snatching a motorbike from a road commuter in Suryapet this morning. On seeing police, the duo opened fire.
In the shoot out, one constable died on the spot and two circle inspectors seriously injured and shifted to Hyderabad for treatment.
Meanwhile, State Director General of Police Anurag Sharma has rushed to the site, about 120 kilometers from Hyderabad and 60 kilometers from the district headquarters.
