US President Donald Trump today announced his plans to nominate former Congresswoman Heather Wilson as the next Secretary of Air Force.
Currently, president of South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Wilson was a member of the US House of Representatives from 1998 to 2009. If confirmed, she will be the first Air Force Academy graduate to become Secretary of the Air Force.
As a US lawmaker, Wilson had voted in favour of the India US Civil Nuclear Deal in the House of Representatives as she believed that integrating India into a global nonproliferation regime is a positive step.
