US President Donald Trump has said that he supported free trade but said it had to be fair and reciprocal. He reaffirmed his commitment to ‘America First’ policy, saying it does not mean ‘America alone’. Addressing the World Economic Forum in Davos, he said, America is open to business and competitive practices again.
Mr Trump said the US stock market smashing records every day, and it has added more than 7 trillion US dollars in new wealth since his election. He stressed that there cannot be free and open trade if some country does not follow the rules.
The American president said, taxes have been massively cut for middle class and corporate tax lowered. The tax cut bill is expected to raise the average American’s household income by more than 4,000 US dollars, he added.
