To review the necessary arrangements put in place by the administration for the pilgrims of Amarnath Yatra 2019,
Top officials including Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Sanjeev Verma and Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu, MK Sinha along with Deputy Commissioner, Ramban today visited Yatra Transit Camps from Shaitani Nalla to Chanderkot on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in district Ramban and reviewed arrangements put in place by the administration for the pilgrims of Amarnath Yatra 2019.
They reviewed the basic arrangements including portable drinking water, power supply, installation of lights, bathroom, toilet facilities and availability of essentials commodities. The officers also reviewed security arrangements along the national highway for smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
Divisional Commissioner said that authorities have made tight security arrangements for the safety of pilgrims during the 45-day long Amarnath Yatra from 30th June which will be conducted under the surveillance and close coordination of various security agencies.
