India Tuesday said its relations with Nepal was moving forward in different areas. Sources said in New Delhi that the Himalayan nation now has a stable government and the two sides can further expand their cooperation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Nepal from 11-12 of this month. During his upcoming visit, he will meet the leadership of that country. Sources said the two sides are doing good job in areas like agriculture and power.
They said, possibilities are being explored to expand railway network and Nepal government is keen to move forward on key projects. Prime Minister Modi will be getting a civic reception and later ceremonial reception after his arrival in Nepal. Sources said, it is time to consolidate India’s relations with Nepal as it has a stable government.
Earlier in a press release, External Affairs Ministry said, this will be the third visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Nepal and the first high-level visit from India since the formation of the new Government in Nepal.
The visit is in keeping with the tradition of regular high-level exchanges between India and Nepal and will enable leaders to discuss matters of mutual interest and to strengthen cooperation in all areas of age-old, multi-faceted and expanding partnership between the two countries.
