Indian forces are giving a befitting reply to unprovoked infiltration bid by Pakistan
In Jammu and Kashmir, an Army jawan has been killed in an encounter with terrorists near the LoC in Macchil sector of Kupwara district. An Army spokesman said, a group of suspected terrorists from across the LoC attacked the troops deployed on the Indian side, and in the encounter, one solider was killed.
The terrorists, later, mutilated the jawan’s body before fleeing back into Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir under the cover of firing by Pakistan Army. The spokesman said one militant was also killed in the gunbattle.
Meanwhile, Pakistani forces are resorting to heavy shelling and firing in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district in Jammu since early this morning. Defence sources said, Pakistani forces are firing in Hiranagar sector since 6 AM and BSF is giving a befitting reply. The sources also said, firing and shelling, which began last evening in RS Pura, is also continuing.

One BSF Jawan Constable Nitin Subhash succumed to injuries this morning. He was injured during an encounter with Pak forces in an infiltration bid foiled by Indian forces last evening, in Machil sector of Kupwara district in Kashmir.
Intermittent firing was limited to some portion of RS Pura. No damage reported. However more mortar shells fired at 7:20 AM from Pakistan side in Kathua sector of Jammu & Kashmir. But no damage . BSF retaliated with small arms.
