The Income Tax department has seized 66 lakh rupees cash in its anti-black money operations held in Hyderabad during the past two days. All the seized cash was in new 2000 rupees notes.
According to a reports IT department seized the amount in two incidents. An amount of 36 lakh rupees was recovered from an apartment near the Telugu Academy in Hymayatnagar area when IT teams intercepted few people who ran into a nearby apartment on seeing the officials.
In another incident, IT teams seized an amount of 30 lakh rupees after intercepting a speeding vehicle near Tank Bund (टांक बंड) area. The IT department made these interceptions in Hyderabad as part of its anti-black money probe post demonetisation.
