At least 35 civilians were killed in fresh US-led airstrikes near Ghandur town close to Manbej, controlled by the Islamic State group in Syria.
The strikes come in the context of the US support to the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, or SDF, which has besieged Manbej in a bid to flush out IS militants.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also reported the strike. Manbej has a strategic importance to the US-backed rebels due to its
location near to the Turkish border.
