At least 80 people were killed in floods and landslides triggered by the incessant rain since Monday in several districts of Nepal.
Officials in Kathmandu said that Pyuthan district in western Nepal is the worst hit area, where 36 people have died due to the landslides and floods. Scores of houses and bridges have been swept away in several parts of the country as incessant rains have swelled rivers.
Army personnel have been deployed for rescue and relief operations in 14 flood-affected districts.
