Southwest monsoon is active over West Bengal, Karnataka and Kerala. Heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka and Kerala on Saturday.
MeT office has predicted widespread rain in central, north and east India over the next five days.
Met department director B P Yadav said monsoon conditions are favorable for crop cultivation.
He, however, said Gujarat and Maharastra are likely to receive less than normal rainfall in the next couple of days.
