Shutdown, clashes in Sopore, Pattan, PalhalanThe normal life in Jammu & Kashmir, was badly affected Wednesday in Kashmir valley in response to strike called by separatists against the mysterious killings of three youths whose bodies were recovered in Pattan area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday. Shops, business establishments, educational institutions and courts were closed.

Amid shutdown, clashes and protests also took place in areas including Sopore, Pattan and Palhalan. Three boys having bullet wounds and torture marks on their bodies were found dead in an orchard in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday. Police said two of the three boys were militants.

SSP Baramulla Suhail Mir said that no untoward incident was reported from Sopore, Pattan, Baramulla towns or any other part of Baramulla district.

Syed Ali Geelani and few other separatist leaders remained under house detention. Yasin Malik had been detained at Sopore Police station since yesterday as he had tried to visit the families of the slain youths.

Three boys having bullet wounds and torture marks on their bodies were found dead in an orchard in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday. Police said two of the three boys were militants. On Tuesday, another person was found dead in Tangmarg.
