NEW DELHI: (AMN) Congress President Sonia Gandhi is expected to unveil the party’s plan to counter the Opposition campaign at a meeting of party MPs here on Monday. Mrs. Gandhi would address the meeting of the Congress Parliamentary Party on the last day of the winter session that has been marred by constant disruption by Opposition demanding JPC probe into the 2G Spectrum issue. This will be the CPP’s first meeting in the winter session.
The Congress has rejected the demand for JPCs, saying a multi-agency probe was being conducted in all three cases and that the opposition demand was ‘aimed at political grandstanding’.
Congress sources said the party will firm up its plan of action to take on the opposition at the party’s plenary which will be held here from Dec 18.
