Oomen_ChandyThe Kerala High Court Friday stayed the Thrissur Vigilance Court order to register FIR against Kerala Chief Minister Mr Oommen Chandy and State Electricity Minister Mr Aryadan Mohamed in the Solar scam case for two months.

On Wednesday the prime accused Saritha Nair alleged that she had paid bribes worth Rs 1.90 crores and Rs 40 lakhs to Mr Oommen Chandy and Mr Aryadan Muhammed respectively to help her company set up solar power projects in the State. On a petition filed by Social activist Mr PD joseph ,the Vigilance Court Judge ordered that Chief Minister and Electricity Minister be investigated after rejecting their arguments.

While allowing stay the High Court has criticized the actions of Vigilance Judge severely and observed that he should know what is his responsibilities and asked whether the Vigilance Court should act as Post Offices.

Reacting to the latest development, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that truth will prevail and allegations against him in Solar case is false and baseless.
