Terming the Lalit Modi row as the biggest conspiracy to weaken the Narendra Modi Government Shiv Sena has backed External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and said that the party has full faith in her. In an editorial of Party mouthpiece Saamna Shiv Sena slammed the opposition parties, especially Congress , for vitiating the atmosphere over the issue of helping Lalit Modi in aquiring travel documents.
The party has given a clean cheat to the External affairs minister saying that her 35-40 year old career in politics is totally clean and it is the biggest conspiracy fabricated by some of the leaders in the opposition to ruin her career in politics. The party has also said that in future these same people may also create a conspiracy against the Prime Minister and it should be probed.
Shiv Sena has alleged that Congress had helped Warren Anderson the main accused in the Bhopal Gas Tragedy and Ottavio Quattrocchi the main accused of Bofors scam to flee the country.
Therefore they have no right to raise questions about the issue as nothing wrong has happened in Lalit Modi row. Shiv Sena has also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in the matter and probe the biggest political conspiracy to destabilise the government.
