A delegation of Muslims today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and congratulated him on his recent visit to Saudi Arabia.

The delegation was led by leading Shia Cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawwad.  Qamar Agha – an expert on International Islamic Affairs and Shahid Siddiqui, editor Nai Dunia former MP Ilyas Azmi were also part of the delegation.

“Members of the delegation congratulated the Prime Minister on his recent successful visit to Saudi Arabia”, says official release from the Prime Minister’s Office.

The delegation told PM that people in West Asia, Central Asia and North Africa, especially the youth, are extremely impressed with his development agenda and want good relations with India.

The delegation also praised Mr Modi’s development agenda, and his successful implementation record, notes an official release.

The Prime Minister thanked the delegation, and reiterated his commitment to development, laying special stress on education, and especially girl child education.

He expressed hope that the Muslim community in India shall be able to derive huge benefit from the welfare schemes initiated by the NDA Government, such as the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, and Mudra Yojana.
