Mumbai court today sent former media tycoon Peter Mukerjea to judicial custody till December 14 in connection with the Sheena Bora murder case. This was the 5th time he was produced before the magistrate since his arrest on November 19. CBI did not seek extension of police custody. Peter, however, expressed no objection on the extension of police custody.
As there were no fresh grounds, the CBI insisted on extending his judicial custody. Apart from Peter, all the other accused in the case, Indrani Mukerjea, Sanjeev Khanna and Shyamvar Rai, are also in judicial custody. They are slated to be produced in the Sessions court on December 3.
