JD(U) is set to elect a new President in its National Council meeting in New Delhi on 10th of this month as present incumbent Sharad Yadav has decided not to seek a fourth term.
Mr. Yadav’s has completed his three successive terms and now refused to make any amendment in the party constitution to pave the way for his return as chief.
He is one of the founder leaders of the party along with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. There is a buzz in the party that Mr. Kumar himself may become the party president.
