SHARAD YADAV

Finally senior JD-U leader Sharad Yadav broke his silence over Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar joining hands with the BJP saying the decision to part ways with the RJD and Congress was “unfortunate”.

“I don’t agree with the decision, its unfortunate. Breaking an agreement with people was a big thing as they had voted in favour of Mahagathbandhan (grand alliance),” Mr Yadav told reporters here.

Last week Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad and CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury had met the JD(U) veteran.

It was said that both Mr Azad and Mr Yechury discussed with Mr Yadav the political developments in Bihar and the leaders in the Opposition camp got the impression that Bihar Chief Minister Mr Kumar did not take Mr Sharad Yadav, a former JD(U) chief, into confidence.
