BJP President Amit Shah has expressed concerned over increasing atrocities not only against common man, but also against journalist and senior police officers in Uttar Pradesh. He said in Kanpur yesterday that all of them are feeling insecure in the state. Addressing a party meeting on mass contact programme for 2017 Assembly elections, Mr Shah called upon party workers to dethrone the Akhilesh government. He said law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh has deteriorated.
Referring the recent incident of Barabanki district where a woman was burnt alive inside the police station, Mr Shah announced a four member fact finding team of BJP to look into such incidents including Barabanki case. The committee will be headed by Member of Parliament Ashwini Choubey, while MP MJ Akbar, Arjun Meghwal and Meenakshi Lekhi are part of this fact finding team. The committee will present its report on the Barabanki incident.
