The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold wave to severe cold wave conditions to continue over Northwest India during the next 5 days and over Central India during the next 3 days. According to the IMD, cold wave to severe cold wave conditions will prevail over parts of Madhya Pradesh today and tomorrow. While cold wave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and West Rajasthan during the next 4 days.

In West and South India, these conditions will continue over Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Saurashtra, Kutch, and Telangana till tomorrow.

IMD forecasts cold wave to severe cold wave conditions to continue over Northwest India & Central India

In Delhi-NCR, a slight fall of up to 3 degrees Celsius in minimum temperature has been observed with a cold wave expected tomorrow as well as smog and shallow to moderate fog in the morning and night hours.

The weather agency has also forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu and heavy rainfall over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema tomorrow.
