Supreme Court today extended the interim bail of social activists Teesta Setalvad and her husband till March 18 in the alleged misappropriation of funds cases. The couple, however, has been asked to cooperate with CBI and Gujrat police in the case.
The two probe agencies has told the Court that the couple was not supplying relevant documents relating to the spending of funds.
Gujarat police is probing Setalvad couple in connection with the alleged misappropriation of funds for a museum at Ahmedabad’s Gulbarg Society that was devastated in the 2002 riots.
While the CBI is investigating the alleged violations of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act in connection with the utilisation of funds received from Ford Foundation by a company run by the couple.
