Maharashtra State Commission for Women – MSCW has issued fresh summons to Salman Khan after he failed to appear before the commission today. The commission had sought clarification regarding his rape analogy comments.
Instead of personally appearing before the state women’s commission, actor Salman Khan sent a letter stating that the case was already pending before the National Commission for Women and hence it cannot be heard at two places simultaneously.
The Commission, however dismissed the actor’s plea and has summoned him on 7th July. MSCW’s Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar said that the state commission has been conferred with concurrent powers and the case can be heard at both the places simultaneously.
The case pertains to Salman’s rape analogy wherein the actor had said that he “felt like a raped woman” during the shoot of his upcoming movie Sultan.
