Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had a conversation with US Secretary of Defence Mark Esper over bilateral cooperation to address the COVID-19 pandemic. Both the ministers vowed to continue the coordinated efforts in this regard and telephonically shared experiences of both the countries.
They reviewed progress on various bilateral defence cooperation arrangements and expressed their commitment to further promote the Indo-US defence partnership. Mr. Esper also accepted Mr Singh’s invitation to visit India. US Defence Secretary expressed condolences over lives lost in the West Bengal and Odisha due to Cyclone Amphan. The two Ministers also exchanged views on regional developments of shared security interest.
