On the second day of his visit to Jammu and Kashmir, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today reviewed security situation along the border in Baramulla and Kupwara districts.
He also met families displaced due to shelling from across the border in frontier Kupwara district. He assured the affected families that all measures will be taken for their safety and peaceful living in these areas. The Home Minister accompanied by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and MoS in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh,
A Gujjar-Bakerwal delegation also met Home Minister and apprised him about their problems and issues.
The Home Minister also reviewed ongoing developmental initiatives under Prime Minister’s Development Package and other centrally sponsored schemes in the two border districts.
Mr Singh is visiting Jammu this afternoon to take stock of the situation along the border areas in region. He is on a two-day visit to the state.
