The curriculum of medical education in Rajasthan’s medical colleges will now be available in Hindi as well. On the occasion of Hindi Diwas today, the Medical Education Department announced the introduction of medical education in Hindi medium. Principal Secretary of the Medical Education Department, Gayatri Rathore, said that in the first phase, this facility has been launched at Dr Sampurnanand Medical College, Jodhpur, and Barmer Medical College, affiliated with Marwar Medical University.
Students enrolling in the academic session 2024-25 at these two medical colleges will have the option to receive education in either English or Hindi medium, based on their preference. Medical Education Commissioner Iqbal Khan said that students from rural backgrounds or those who had studied in Hindi medium faced difficulties in studying medical courses conducted in English medium. Keeping this in mind, the announcement to offer these courses in Hindi medium was made in the budget. This facility will soon be introduced in other medical colleges as well.
