RAINAMN

Rain lashed parts of North India in the wee hours today. Delhites woke up to a pleasant and cool morning after a rainy spell in the night. The city had also received light rains yesterday.

The Met department has predicted a cloudy sky for today. The rain and strong winds have managed to bring air quality from poor to moderate. Delhi is expected to witness a cool but sunny Holi tomorrow.

Thunder storms and squalls were also observed over the night at Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, East UP, sub-himalyan West Bengal, Sikkim and Tamil Nadu.

According to Met Department, Westen Disturbances is likely to causes fairly widespread rains or snow falls over Western Himalyan reigon. Isolated to scattered rain with thunder showers are expected over adjoining northern plains.

Heavy rain is also predicted at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next 24 hours.
