Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi continued his kisan Yatra in Uttar Pradesh. While addressing his khaat sabha at Ghatampur in Kanpur yesterday demanded that government to come up with a ‘Kisan Budget’ to ensure farmers get the right price for their produce. He said, the Kisan Budget will ensure that farmers get right prices for their crops.
Accusing the centre of waiving off loans of industrialists but not of farmers, the Congress vice president reiterated that if congress comes in power, their priority will be to waive off loans to farmers. He criticized both current and previous UP governments.
Commenting on Samajwadi Party government in state, Mr Gandhi said they cannot run government without corruption. He questioned why the ministers, who were dropped from the cabinet on corruption charges, were reinstated by SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.
