Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi once again alleged BJP government of favouring businessmen over common men. Addressing a public meeting at Pardi in Valsad district today, Mr Gandhi alleged that except a few businessmen, none is happy in Gujarat. He said every section of society be it Dalit, Farmers, Patidar and Adivasi is agitating against the government in Gujarat.
Mr Gandhi once again took the issue of unemployment in the state and held the ruling government responsible for not creating enough jobs in the state. Congress Vice President criticized several decisions and policies of the union government.
Mr Gandhi is on a three-day visit to South Gujarat as part of Navsarjan Yatra.
Two young leaders from the state including Dalit leader Jignesh Mevani are likely to meet Mr Gandhi today.
Meanwhile BJP leader and Union Minister Parshottam Rupala today alleged Congress of doing false campaigning in the state. Addressing a press conference in Gandhinagar, Mr Rupala said PM Narendra Modi is known as the engine of growth and Congress is just misleading the people of Gujarat. He said all the schemes of Modi government have proved successful in the country.
