The new time would come into force from Monday, the March 7. Mr. Ansari said the traditional timing of the question hour between 11 AM and 12 noon would be utilized to enable members to raise the matters of Public importance with the permission of the Chair.
As soon as the house met for the day, the Chairman observed that members tend to raise matters of concern during this time at the expense of the question hour.
