Punjab is celebrating the 350th years of foundation of Sri Anandpur Sahib, today. The holy city, which is also the birth place of Khalsa, was founded by the Ninth Guru Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in 1665. To commemorate the occasion whole town has been painted white.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President Amit Shah, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and other dignitaries have reached the venue which is just opposite the Takhat Sri Keshgarh Sahib. The function is being presided over by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
Thousands of devotees from all walks of life have converged at the aesthetically decorated venue to pay obeisance and are listening to Shabad Kirtan. Jathedars of all the five Takhats of Sikhism and religious men from various religions are also there. All arrangements have been made to provide them safe and secure environment.
