Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said that strict action would be taken against those involved in molestation of women in Bengaluru on 31st December. Home Minister said, Protecting modesty of women is duty of state government.
Taking strong exception to Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara’s remark that youngsters’ “western ways” were responsible for the mass molestation in Bengaluru on New Year’s Eve, NCW chief Lalitha Kumaramangalam sought his resignation.
The NCW chairperson also demanded that the minister apologise to the women of the country for the remark.
