An inspiring Iftar Gathering and strategic meeting was organised at Islam Gymkhana on Tuesday march 17, bringing together over 200 of Mumbai’s most eminent social leaders, policymakers, professionals, and members of the community. The event was graciously organised by Adv. Yusuf Abrahani, President of Islam Gymkhana.
“Mission 10,000 Students” is a national campaign dedicated to mobilizing support for the education of 10,000 underprivileged and orphaned children, ensuring they continue their schooling and build a path towards a dignified and empowered future.
Aamir Edresy, President – AMP, emphasized how structured support can transform thousands of young lives. He said “If each one of us takes responsibility for just one child’s education, we can prevent 10,000 dropouts this year. Mission 10,000 Students is not just a campaign—it is a collective responsibility of the Community.”
Adv. Yusuf Abrahani, President – Islam Gymkhana, who inaugurated the meet said, “Ramzan teaches us compassion and responsibility. Supporting the education of underprivileged children is one of the most impactful ways we can give back to society.”
Amin Patel, MLA from South Mumbai and long-time supporter of AMP said, “This is a commendable initiative that brings the community together for a noble cause. We must all contribute in whatever way we can to support the future of our children.”
Abu Asim Azmi, MLA from North Mumbai said, “Education is the foundation of empowerment. Initiatives like Mission 10,000 Students are crucial to ensuring that no child is left behind due to financial hardship.”
The gathering served as a significant platform to discuss and strengthen the vision of the “Mission 10,000 Students” campaign—an initiative aimed at supporting the education of 10,000 underprivileged and orphaned students across India.
The event witnessed the presence of prominent dignitaries, including Adv. Waris Pathan, former MLA, Nizamuddin Rayeen, Congress Leader, Social Leaders Maulana Ejaz Ahmed Kashmiri, Sultan Maaldar & Saeed Khan, Business Leaders including Sajid Supariwala, Arshad Siddiqui, Syed Jajaluddin, Valiullah Badruddin Ajmal, Farooq Kaladia, Asif Dadan alongside several other distinguished guests from across sectors, reflecting a strong and united commitment towards educational empowerment.
The evening concluded on a powerful note, with participants expressing their support for the mission and reaffirming their resolve to contribute towards building a brighter future for thousands of deserving students.
