Polling for the 4th phase of panchayat elections in Jammu and Kashmir concluded peacefully on Tuesday. In Jammu division, over 80 per cent polling was recorded in all the eight districts which went to polls today covering 19 blocks.
In Jammu district, over 85 per cent polling was recorded followed by 84 per cent in Doda, over 82 per cent each in Poonch, Rajouri and Kishtwar districts, 81 per cent each in Ramban and Kathua districts and about 79 per cent in Udhampur district.
The counting of votes has already started and the results are expected late tonight or tomorrow morning.
