BRUSSELS /
Police found an explosive device, “chemical products” and a ISIS flag in raids following Tuesday’s terror attacks in Brussels, the federal prosecutor said.
In a statement, the prosecutor’s office said the materials were found during an operation in the city’s Schaerbeek district.
“A nail bomb, chemical products and a flag of Daesh were found during house searches,” the statement said.
At least 35 people were killed and more than 100 injured in three explosions at the airport and a metro station in Brussels on Tuesday morning.
The attacks came four days after a counter-terrorism raid in Brussels led to the capture of Saleh Abdeslam, the prime remaining suspect in November’s Paris attacks that killed 130.
