The Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi today visited Pathankot Airbase in Punjab where he reviewed the security situation after the recent terror attack.
Senior Defence officials briefed him in great detail on how the forces neutralised a serious terror attack.National Security Advisor, Services Chiefs and NSG and BSF Chiefs were present. Mr. Modi also made an aerial survey of the border areas.
Lauding the bravery of the defence forces, Mr. Modi said, in a tweet that he was satisfied with the decision making and the execution of the forces’ tactical response to the attack.
He noted the coordination among various field units and lauded the bravery and determination of the forces on the ground.
They are India’s pride , he said .
