Terming Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘s speech in Parliament in reply to the debate on Motion of Thanks on the President’s address as a ‘visionless election speech ‘, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said the PM failed to refer to burning issues facing the country.
Questioning the PM’s silence on the deal for Rafale fighter jets, Rahul asked him whether clearance of the Cabinet Committee on Security was obtained before he negotiated and agreed to purchase Rafale aircraft in France and also asked him to reveal the price of each aircraft .
He also asked the PM for reason to bypass HAL in favour of a private entity with no prior experience in the Defence sector.
