Speaking on the occasion, Mr Modi said the digital compilation of Ramcharitmanas by AIR is an inspiration for others.

He commended the team who worked for years to compile the digitised version of the epic.

The Prime Minister said Ramcharitmanas speaks about Indian family values which are admired all over the world.

On attachment of people with Ramcharitmanas, Mr Modi said the people who went to far off countries over 100 years ago took this great literary work with them.

The Prime Minister said Akashvani has nine lakh hours of recordings which is rare.
