Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 37th National Games in Fatorda in Goa on Oct 26. Sportspersons from across the country will showcase their talent and hard work in the gane.

In the initial phases of the National Games, Numerous record-breaking and enthralling events are being witnessed at the 37th National Games. Dipali Gursale from Maharashtra made history with a National Record in the Women’s 45 kg Weightlifting category. She achieved a remarkable Snatch of 75kg and a total weight of 165 kg. In a similar feat, Chandrika Tarafdar from West Bengal secured a National Record in the Women’s 45kg weightlifting category with a remarkable Clean and Jerk of 95kg.

In the Men’s Weightlifting 55kg category, Prashant Koli of  Services Sports Control Board clinched the Gold medal, Mukund Aher of Maharashtra secured the Silver, and S Guru Naidu of Andhra Pradesh took the Bronze medal. In the Women’s Weightlifting 49kg category Gyaneshwari Yadav of Chattisgarh clinched the Gold medal, Preeti of Haryana secured the Silver, and Jhilli Dalabehera of Odisha took home the Bronze medal.

The traditional Men’s Netball event has concluded in the National Games. Haryana bagged the Gold medal, Kerala got the Silver and Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi both combined secured the Bronze medal. While at traditional women’s Netball events, Karnataka achieved the Gold Medal, Haryana got the Silver and Telangana and Delhi secured the Bronze medal together.
