In a rare gesture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today called on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa at her residence in Chennai. After inaugurating the first National Handloom Day in the city, he visited her and the meeting went on for 50 minutes.
She submitted a 21-page memorandum to him listing out various demands for the state. Later, the Prime Minister also inquired about the health of the ailing veteran journalist ‘Cho’ Ramasamy by visiting him at his residence in the city.
