BJP National Executive Conclave, Allahabad
AMN
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today gave seven point code of conduct to party leaders and workers. The seven points are service (sewabhav), Balance, Restraint (sanyam), coordination, positivity, sensitivity and dialogue . He said, mere slogans will not be able to satisfy the people, rather delivery of work is required to satisfy them.
Addressing the concluding session of two day National Executive Conclave in Allahabad, he said this is an historical opportunity for the party to utilise it’s newly attained political strength to move forward. Summing up the deliberations of the committee meeting, senior party leader and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said, the twin main objectives of this executive conclave were analysis of current political situation and charting out strategy to further expand party’s base in other parts of the country.
Mr Jaitley said, it was felt in the meeting that party should have offices in every district and all of its eleven crore members should be made active members. Reviewing the economic conditions in the country, the national executive said, though India is accepted as bright spot and fastest growing economy, there is a need to continue the forward march.
He said, popularity of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has increased along with geographical expansion of the party. He said, now the party has expanded to West Bengal, Kerala and Assam. Mr Jaitley also pointed out that there are two main political parties and other smaller ones. But the gap between the popularity of two major parties has widened considerably which is politically significant for the BJP.
Replying to a question on law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, Mr Jaitley said if the state Chief Minister thinks that law and order situation is very good then the Samajwadi party should make law and order as referendum for 2017 assembly polls. He said if it happens, the Samajwadi Party will be in great loss.
Reacting on BJP’s National Executive meet in Allahabad, Congress today said that the BJP has made tall and false claims about the development and economic growth of the country during its National Executive Meeting. Party spokesperson Anand Sharma said, many key sectors are struggling in the country and exports have fallen recently which is a matter of concern. Mr Sharma said, the government should make efforts to revive economy and provide more opportunities to the youth of the country, instead of spreading lies.
