Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed sadness on the loss of lives due to the collapse of an under-construction flyover in Varanasi.
In a tweet, Mr Modi said, he has spoken to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding the situation.
He said, Uttar Pradesh Government is monitoring the situation very closely and is working on the ground to assist the affected.
The Prime Minister said, he has spoken to officials and has asked them to ensure all possible support to those affected. He also prayed for the quick recovery of the injured.
