70 Saal Azadi Yaad Karo Kurbani
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today described BJP’s proposed Tiranga Yatra to mark 70 years of Independence Day as a symbol of social harmony and unity. Addressing BJP Parliamentary Party meeting in New Delhi, Mr Modi promoted the Yatra as a measure to spread harmony and asked party MPs to put in efforts to make it a success.
A theme song – 70 Saal Azadi Yaad Karo Kurbani composed by Dr. Ghazal Srinivas was also released in the meeting. The Yatra will be organised between 15th to 22rd of this month across the country and NDA MPs will visit places related to freedom fighters and martyrs. Briefing reporters, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said, the Prime Minister has asked to highlight the contributions of freedom fighters and martyrs among the school children during the celebration.
He said Mr. Modi also asked BJP MPs to publicize among the people, the legislative works done in the current Monsoon Session of Parliament including the passage of the 122nd Constitution Amendment Bill which will pave the way for roll out of GST.
