Prime Minister Narendra Modi complimented jawans and armed forces for giving fitting reply to terrorists in Pathankot on Saturday. Speaking at the Centenary celebration of Seer Shivaratri Rajendra Swamiji in Mysuru on Saturday, he said our united fight against terrorism waged by our armed forces has infused confidence among the countrymen.

Speaking about the challenges of global warming, the Prime Minister noted that innovative methods and tapping of solar energy can help overcome this challenge.

He said Central Government will extend all cooperation to the Delhi Government to cut down pollution level in the national capital.

Pointing out the valuable contribution of saints and seers of India towards enlightening the society and liberating it from ignorant practices, the Prime Minister noted that social reforms brought out by them has empowered the society.

He said 21st century is the Knowledge era, as a powerful country today is now measured by its knowledge quotient.

Prime Minister is on a two days visit to Karnataka and is scheduled to inaugurate the National Science Congress tomorrow in Mysore University.

After his arrival in Mysuru, Mr.Modi also inaugurated a hospital in Ganapathi Sachidanand Ashram and laid the foundation stone for a Knowledge Resource Centre in the city of Mysuru.
